Thoughts on Cogiati results - appearances

I've done this test a couple of times over the years so I'm not convinced how accurate the results are. I think that like any of these tests you can learn to do the test and certainly with this one I think that you can answer in a way that will get you the result you want.

In this case I tried to answer as honestly as possible.

Am I androgynous?

In a way yes as I have to go about my daily life as a male so can only be female when I have the chance at home (at the moment).

That said over the years I've played with my image to some extent.

I've got both my years pierced and actually got them done at the same time which was an interesting experience as I was off to America to work for several weeks right after I had them done so spent the entire trip with studs in my ears. Nobody said a thing to me the entire time. The flight back to the UK was mre interesting. All I can say is Virgin have some gorgeous air hostesses (wish I was one of them) and never ever try to take a earing out on a plane if you've only just had them pierced. I has so much trouble trying to put them back in on the flight. I might have even had to resort to getting the help of one of the air hostesses but my memory is kind of hazy about that.

I grow my nails long and then cut them back short every so often. I've used nail growth varnish on them as well as anti-biting solutions to stop me from nibbling on them. I've smoothed, buffed and polished them. Outside work I've polished them to a high shine. In work not so high. I don't tend to wear polish on my nails when I'm at work. That's not to say I wouldn't like to but I've struggled to find anywhere that does clear, matt varnish so far. The day I find some is the day I start wearing it to work and everywhere else.
I did actually wear some base coat and top coat one time at the last place I worked. I'd even polished my nails. As luck would have it I had to help a colleague with a task and as I work with computers it involved typing something on the keyboard. Normally the chap in question didn't pay attention to what I was telling him, hence having to help him out. On this occasion, however, he noted my fingernails and asked me if I was wearing polish. Of course I flat denied it and told him that it was just the way my nails normally looked.
When I work away from home then I've done my toenails the first night I arrive at a hotel and then spend the rest of the time with them painted, only taking the polish of at the last possible moment.

With clothes it varies. I tend to like blues, blacks and reds so both my male and female clothes are a mixture of these, although I've got a delightfuly green halter neck dress and a lovely chocolate brown satin look one. I've yet to get any male clothes in the same colours, I think a shopping trip for some male clothes is on the cards to remedy that.
I've had some really colourful shirts in the past, one in particular is memorable because a friend who was a pub landlady actually had a blouse in very similar colours. I use to think of her in that blouse whenever I wore that shirt.

When I've fully made up and slipped into some lingerie I've worn male clothes over the top. I've felt so natural dressed like that (probably more so that when I've worn the clothes without the make up and lingerie). I have no problem with presenting a female image while wearing male things, after all gender females do it on a daily basis.

Lastly hair. At the moment I have a very short hairstyle for convenience as I'm doing a lot of swimming, running and cycling. Being able to shower and dry my hair quickly has its advantages. So does being able to wear a wig without getting to hot and messed up hair. However, I'm going to let it grow out with the aim of getting it own to shoulder length so that I can do away with the wig and put my own hair into some feminine styles.
I did go through a phase where I grew my hair out and it reached the point where I had to pull it back into a pony tail (not a very long one but pulled back it was). My hairdresser was very good and competely understanding, especially when I told her why I was growing it. Once it was long enough I loved going to get my hair done as after she had tidied it up she alway ran the straighteners through it and I would leave with absolutely straight hair framing my face. A unisex style though.

So I think that from an appearance point of view I am somewhat androgynous as I enjoy playing with my appearance and even as a full time female I would still want to play with my appearance but I would go more in the feminine direction rather than the masculine.

Oh wow I am going to have so much fun one of these days when I have my body the way I want it.

COGIATI test results

I came across another blog where someone had posted their results of doing the COGIATI test and a link to it. Just done it myself and here is the result and a link to the test.

http://www.transsexual.org/cogiati_english.html

COGIATI classification THREE, ANDROGYNE
What this means is that the Combined Gender Identity And Transsexuality Inventory has classified your internal gender identity to be essentially androgynous, both male and female at the same time, or possibly neither. In some cultures in history, you would be considered to be a third sex, independent of the polarities of masculine or feminine. Your gender issues are intrinsic to your construction, and you will most likely find your happiness playing with expressing both genders as you feel like it.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ACTION:
Your situation is a little tricky in our current society, but not tremendously so, depending on your geographic location.
The suggestions for your circumstance are not overly complicated.

1.
If you have any comfortability about your gender expression, some slight degree of counseling might well prove helpful. The primary goal would be to make it possible for you to enjoy your gender expressions free from any shame or embarrassment, and to resolve any remaining questions you might have.
2.
As an androgynous being, both genders, and both sexes are natural to your expression. Permanent polarization in either direction might bring significant unhappiness. It is not recommended that you go through a complete transsexual transformation. You might find a partial transformation of value, if you find yourself more attracted overall to the feminine. You are more likely a transgenderist, than a transsexual. It is recommended that you recognize that your gender issues are real, but that extreme action regarding them should be viewed with great caution.
3.
If you have not already, consider joining any of the thousands of groups devoted to gender play of various varieties. There is literally a world of friends to discover who share your interests. There are also publications, vacations, and activities that would expand your gender play.

Shopping Trip

Well I've been on shopping expedition and it was fun and expensive.

I went to Exeter, in South West England, and went in to Debenhams department store as I'd had a look at they're website and decided what I wanted to get. They didn't have a red dress that I had looked at. They might be getting it in and its part of a set a woman assistant who helped me said.

Yes I went up to one of the assistants to find out where the dress would be. She was very helpful, so helpful in fact that when I showed her the picture of the shawl I was looking for she took me to where it would be and asked the male assistant in that area where it might be. He told us where to look and then when we headed off in the wrong direction took us straight to the item and got it off the rail for me. She was really chatty which I found really enjoyable. This was probably the first time I've been in a store buying clothes when I didn't feel uncomfortable.

I was left to wander around the store with this shawl draped from my arm.

I popped in to the Red Herring section to look for a black frill shirt dress but they didn't have any. They did have a red one so I picked up one of those.

The red frill shirt dress is extremely short, well above my knees which aren't my best feature.

Anyway, I'm going to have to get a pair of red 4 inch high heels to wear with it. To give you an idea of what its like its has about 3 layers of frills at the hem of the skirt, stops about 3 inches above my knees and I've already nicknamed it my hooker dress because if I wear it anywhere then I'm sure to get propositioned by men and called a tart by women.

After that I went to the Betty Jackson, Black section to get a taupe tie waist dress that I'd decided would look good for my appointment at the Albany Clinic. It does look good when teamed with the shawl, of course I'm probably going to have to get a new handbag as I don't think that the ones I have quite go. I need one with a longer strap that I can put over my shoulder.

I wandered back into the Red Herring denim area and picked up a pair of bootleg jeans and a camisole, the latter as it was free with the jeans.

With all of that lot draped over my arm I decided it was time to pay and went to the cash desk. The assistant there was very friendly, an older woman, and we had a nice chat while she was scanning my clothes and I was paying. I'm sure that she didn't realise that I was buying them for myself but who knows. For once I actually didn't feel awkward buying things in a shop, especially things for me.

Once I'd finished in Debenhams I decided to pop into Marks & Spencer and get some new lingerie. I came out with two bra and panty sets, one in black and the other in a pale tan colour. In addition to that I picked up a vest style top and three more pairs of panties.

At that point I made my way back to the car, making a quick stop in Next, but without buying anything, and then Peacocks, where I picked up a purse and umbrella.

After that I returned to the car and drove back home.

During my drive to and from Exeter I wore a pair of womens stud earings and flat shoes in the car. I wore the flats to make sure that I could drive in them as I intend to wear them for the drive to Manchester.

Since my trip I've been on the Debenhams website and ordered another dress from the Betty Jackson range. I guess I'm just a Betty Jackson kind of girl as I adore her outfits.

I've added some links to the dresses I bought yesterday for you to see.

Dress and shawl for Manchester.

Can't decide between the taupe or black and white dress to where to the appointment now though.

On my knees

The other day I was at a training course in non-Jennifer mode.

Like any training course it involved an element of group work. The first time the groups separated I grabbed the pen and paper we had to write our answers to some questions on and volunteered to be scribe. I think that there may be a budding secretary in me somewhere as I can even type with more that two fingers.

I knelt on the floor in the middle of our group of men and women in order to be able to write better.

When we split up a second time I knelt on the floor again and spread the paper out. I looked around the group and asked if anyone else would like to do the writing. It was at this point that I got the best answer a submissive could ever get from a woman.

"That's all right, I love to see a man on his knees in front of me."

I would so love to have turned to her and said "Just name the time and place and I'll get on my knees in front of you." Wouldn't have gone down very well though.
